Program Leader Trainings (PLT) are limited to program leaders who are new to Explorica. Reservations are first-come, first-served based on the completion of the request form as well as qualification with full-paying participant enrollment. Trips often fill prior to the advertised registration deadlines. The PLT you select must depart prior to the departure of your first Explorica tour. Limit one PLT per program leader, and one guest, if the enrollment qualifications are met. Guests are only permitted for Program Leaders who qualify through group size requirements. We are only able to accommodate guests that appear on the PLT roster. A program leader traveling on a PLT may not travel on an Explorica Convention until they have enrolled travelers on a tour in a following year. Qualifications differ for groups traveling within the U.S. or Canada. Other conditions may apply.
Trips departing July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 are only available to program leaders with their first educational tour departing August 1, 2025-July 31, 2026. Trips departing July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027 are only available to program leaders with their first educational tour departing August 1, 2026-July 31, 2027.
*On most PLTs (except Munich), our team will host an interactive session in the destination for professional development. By participating in the Training tour and session, you will earn a professional development certificate.
