Day 2: June 13, 2017
We woke up aerly in the morning and traveled to Merida at 6:30 am. In our way we stopped a few minutes in Valladolid to buy some juices and snacks.
After 4 hours we finally arrived in Merida and stopped in a busy area of the downtown where they had mexican "piñatas" for sale, so we bought four of them and a lot of candies that we took to the orphabage in the afternoon.
Once in the hotel in Merida we changed our clothes beacuse it was time to go to the beach, so we went to Progreso which is 30 minutes away from the city. We tried sea food, enjoyed the beach and did some shopping. Progreso was quite, the sand white and the sea clean and blue, it ws a perfect day.
Our last activity was wonderful and it was in an orphanage. We took some food, candies and the piñatas we had bought in the morning. The kids welcomed us and were so happy to meet us. We played soccer and other games, they broke the piñatas , we sang, ran and more, It was a wonderful experience that we will always remember.
