An early wake up call and we are ready to start our sightseeing of the city. A few minutes in the bus and we are..... abroad. No, we are not making fun of you; we really are in another country: Vatican City. The visit begins with the Vatican Museums. Our local guide takes us inside. Do you have any idea of how many masterpieces it is possible to see in it? The most incredible one is the Sistine Chapel. We had read about it but we couldn't imagine that the frescos would have been so astonishing. The St. Peter Basilica is not less impressive the big dôme, the fine statues.... and the square with all the columns around... and the window where the Pope has his speech every sunday. Well, it is lunch time already. A panino and then back to..... 'Italy'. Next stop, the Colosseum.. The local guide with her stories drives us to another moment of the history. It is really huge! It really seems that all the monumenti in Rome are bigger than any other building in the world. Then we have a walk throug the Fori Imperiali, the ancient city of Rome. Finally free time: we continue exploring by ourselves this incredible city...wonderful!
