We got up early this morning and left Innsbruck, making our way to Ludwig II’s castle- the Neuschwanstein Castle, famous for several things, one being the fact that it was inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle. We had a tour at 12:25, and audio tour around the beautiful castle. The decor was inspired by mainly the operas of Wagner (most famously Lonenghrin). We then made our way to Munich, with a stop in Oberammergau, a cute, quaint town, which was the sight for the Passion play, performed every ten years, and the origin of the practice of painting beautiful murals on the sides of buildings. Next stop: Munich (read: dinner). A whirlwind tour and a run through the city as we make our way towards dinner, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Schnitzelwirt im Spatenhof. ~Jettie Court
