Well folks I, Dylan Rupska, have the honor of writing the last tour diary for our "European Experience." On our last day, we experienced the city of Madrid. We began the day the usual way; we had wake-up call, breakfast, and then we were on the bus. We were off to take the bus tour of Madrid. What was really neat was that the tour guide was the same guide Mrs. Tolbert and I had a few years ago. She took us all around Madrid, and she showed us the major statues and monuments. We ended the tour at the royal palace. Our tour guide took us though the palace and explain each room in detail. She told us about how Ferdinand liked clocks and Isabella liked her arms (weird, right?) After this, we had free time in the city. Some of us had a beautiful lunch, others checked out the cool shops around the city, and a few made their way down to Spain's equivalent to Central Park and had a little siesta. :) After this, we went to dinner where we had soup, salad, and frozen yogurt. Finally, we went back to the hotel to pack, play cards, and relax. On behalf of the Indiana group, I would like to thank the group from Omaha for being so awesome. From dealing with the rooming situations to being cool to hang out with, you guys made this trip a lot of fun.  Lastly, I would like to thank Alba for being an amazing tour director. She not only put up with our Americans ways of complaining and laziness, but she made the trip so much fun. We will all miss her sarcasm, her witt, and even her fibs. :) I hope that she can make it to the states one say. We love you, Alba! Thanks for being an awesome friend and guide!
