Scotland & Ireland

We said goodbye to the Highlands this morning, heading southward. We had a morning stop at the Victorian spa town of Pitlochry and then continued onward to Scotland's largest city, my home town of Glasgow. I walked the group across George Square, explained why the Duke of Wellington has a traffic cone on his head and then we broke for lunch and shopping time. Then we went for a drive up by the medieval cathedral, around the University and by the house where Madeleine Smith might just possibly have poisoned her lover. We headed out of town via the graveyard haunted by the Gorbals Vampire and took a look at Parkhead, home of Glasgow Celtic football team. Then we headed to East Kilbride for our hotel, a three course dinner, and our last night on Scottish soil.
