Hello Golden West travelers,
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Bryce Hill, and I will be your Explorica Tour Director for your upcoming tour to Washington, DC, Philadelphia & New York City.
This is an incredible tour filled with exciting things to see and do.
The daily temps can range anywhere from lows in the 50’s to highs in the 80-90’s. So prepare for anything, a light jacket is a good idea, as is sunscreen and a small umbrella for those afternoon thunderstorms.
And good walking shoes! Did Ms.Dailey tell you this is a walking tour?
I will meet you at baggage claim at DCA airport on Monday June 7.

WE HAVE ARRIVED!
We landed right on time at DCA airport. We met Bryce, our Tour Director for the week, at Baggage claim. Then onto our motorcoach, where we met our Driver for the week, Wayne. Then off for lunch. For the afternoon we went to President Lincoln’s Cottage, his and Mary Lincoln’s “summer White House” where he wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. We learned that all but one of their sons died at a young age. The grief would haunt them forever.
Then a change of pace, the SPY Museum, where we each got a secret identity and a case to solve, great fun. Then a nice dinner at UNO’s located inside the beautiful Union Station. We also managed to get a group picture at the US Capitol building, the White House and many other place. The end of our evening was visiting the Vietnam Memorial, what a powerful place. And at last the Lincoln Memorial. It is an amazing place.
Then off to the hotel for some much needed sleep. We have so much to see and do tomorrow, we can’t wait!
