Day 2: July 10, 2019
Welcome to Paris!
The group made it to Paris and even if everyone was tired we had a great day!
We started with dropping the suitcase off at the hotel and getting ready and all comfy for the day.
Then, we went on a ride on the metro to go to the city center. We walked almost 8 miles today :)
We started the walking tour with a local snack : France is all about food! Some enjoyed a pain au chocolat, others an eclair au chocolat or a cookie, or some cheese!
We went to Pompidou center where we saw the National Modern art Museum, then to the Conciergerie, the old royal palace, the court house, the sainte chapelle, Sorbonne university, the Latine Quarter where the group had lunch. Then we had a glimpse of Notre Dame cathedral as we walked onto Saint Louis Island one of the richest part of Paris. The group enjoyed an ice cream at the best ice cream maker in Paris :)
We walked to the city hall and back to Pompidou where the group had some free time before dinner.
Tonight on the menu we had Boeuf Bourguignon, very french meal with Tiramisu. Which is Italian but very good!
Off to the hotel afterwards to get an early night to be all ready for the net day!
