Explorica Group Leader Training: Munich

February 16, 2017  -  February 20, 2017

Hi Everyone! My name is Leanna Eaton and I will be the Tour Director on your upcoming Group Leader Training. I've been working as a Tour Director for Explorica since 2006 and am originally from Canada but have been living in Germany for nearly 13 years. Munich is a wonderful place famous for beer, pretzels and dirndls but it is also a city that has much to offer to those interested in history. The city itself was founded in 1158 by Henry the Lion, Duke of Saxony, it became the main residence of the Wittelsbach family in the 1500s and also has deep connections to the rise of Hitler and the Nazi regime. We will also be taking a day trip to Germany's most photographed man-made structure, the fairytale castle of King Ludwing II Neuschwanstein. We have so much to explore together and I am thrilled to welcome you to the Explorica family! Once you land in Munich please collect your luggage and and exit into the arrivals area. Either I or another Explorica representative will be there with a sign to collect you. Unlike a regular student tour, we will be collecting people from about 10 different flights so if you don't see us immediately please take a seat nearby and we will be there as soon as possible! Ich freue mich auf euch!! =) leanna
