Day 2: June 25, 2008
Finally we arrived in Madrid. Roberto, our Tour Director was waiting for us at the airport. There is a group from Albuquerque, another one from Louisiana and two more from Minnesota and New Jersey. We are exahusted but really happy to be in Madrid. The hotel can not be any more centrally located. Everything is right there for us: theatres, movie theatres, department stores, shops, restaurants... Madrid is so lively, well, it shows, but we have not had enough time today after all the flights. We went to the Prado Museum to enjoy the Greco´s, Goya´s and Velazquez´s paintings that we all had seen in our textbooks. Then we strolled through the narrow streets of the old quarter and got to the restaurant for dinner. After dinner we went back to the hotel to rest since tomorrow we will have the Madrid Sightseeing Tour in the morning. The hotel is wonderful and it has got a pool and everything. So far so good.
