Day 2: May 17, 2008
Hello London! We arrived nice and early. A coach came to pick us up at the airport andtook us straight away to the hotel. We dropped the luggage there and hastily jumped on the tube (subway here) to head to the Westend -central London-. We went to visit the impressive Westminster Abbey and then had lunch around Trafalgar square. By then unfortunately the weather had turned quite...british!!! So a fine and constant drizzle saw us run for cover to the coach that was ours for the afternoon for some serious sightseeing. We had a blue badge guide (local guide) that explained all the history and trivia about London. We saw all the landmarks and got dropped off by Tower Bridge where we had our dinner booked. A traditionnal fish and chips crowned a fab first day in the UK. Then we all headed back to our nice and comfy hotel where we got an almighty night of sleep!!!!
