Day 2: April 18, 2009
Hello from Athens, Everybody arrived safe. We drove from the airport to the Hotel Kaningos. We dropped our suitcases had a little bit of time to refresh ourself and to rest and eat and there we were already on a walk in the city. We took the metro for the first time from Omonia to Syndagma. Omonia square is very close to our hotel. It is the central square of Athens. We saw the National Gards in their beautiful uniform, the Parliament, the Zapion, Zeus temple, Adrian's arch and the Acropolis. Back at the Hotel we had dinner. Maybe some will go tonight to the church for easter celebration as it is Easter time in Greece tomorrow. Tomorrow we'll have a free day to explore Athens city. Some are plainning to go to the top of Licabethus hill and to Plaka district. Plaka is located arround Acropolis. It is full of shops and restaurants. Everybody is fine and says hello.
