Day 2: April 5, 2009
Well, it was a tired and jetlagged bunch that stumbled into London's Heathrow airport today, but we were determined to get out and tackle the city without wasting a minute! After dropping our stuff off at our hotel, it was time for our first experience of the "Tube"- the underground train-with a trip into the centre. We enjoyed some free time in the funky Covent Garden area, and then went on a walking tour with our Tour Director, Suzy, taking in Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Dinner was traditional British fish and chips, after which it was definitely, definitely time for bed!!
