Sales Executive Sales Executive (Boston, MA)
The Sales Executive position for Explorica Inc. is responsible for the selling of educational tours for students. Depending on office location an SE may have a designated region, where he/she must maintain competitive sales numbers and call time. The SE is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish. Working with the Sales Manager or Director, each SE is responsible for achieving sales goals by soliciting past business and prospecting new business.
Qualifications
Explorica recruits candidates who are motivated and persistent. In addition, we are looking for:
- Elite communication and organizational skills
- A strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills
- Ability and motivation to make 85+ contacts daily, at least 2 hrs per day on the phone with teachers
- Sales/Telemarketing experience, preferably 1+ years
- Knowledge of culture and geography of Western Europe and/or Asia
- A four-year college degree
- A passion for foreign travel

The Vice President - Sales and Marketing is a key leadership position reporting to our Managing Director. This position manages Canadian Sales, Canadian Marketing and will be responsible for the general Administration of the Toronto Office. The VP - Sales and Marketing will create and support the strategic business plan for the sales and marketing functions in Canada and will set the direction for achieving all revenue goals. Explorica is seeking a visionary and strategic leader with a proven track record of building, motivating and driving results through a successful sales and marketing team. Job Responsibilities- Builds and manages and motivates an inside sales organization that initiates relationships with customers. Leads the development and execution of sales strategies that successfully achieve revenue goals across existing and possibly new product lines.
- Monitors the financial and statistical performance of sales. Compares actual to plan and makes the adjustments required to meet/exceed Canadian sales goals.
- Builds and manages a service organization that provides service and training support of the Company’s channel partner network.
- Over sees the continued development of a highly productive sales organization responsible for exceeding established goals.
- Evaluates new and existing sales and marketing efforts and direct strategic change that results in significant annual revenue growth.
- Analyzes the competitive landscape and strategically develop and lead a sales strategy that consistently beats the competition.
- Ensures that the Explorica brand achieves optimal Canadian market penetration and is recognized as an industry leader by consumers and competitors.

Qualifications

- At least 5 years of Sr. Management experience leading a team of sales and marketing professionals in a service industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading a sales team and supporting revenue generation for responsible product lines.
- Proven track record of developing effective sales and marketing strategies required and preferred in both the English and French market in Canada.
- Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, business development, market research and planning.

Consultant (Toronto, Ontario)
Explorica is seeking a sales professional with strong prospecting skills and direct sales experience for our Toronto office. Our sales conducted over the phone to existing clients and strong prospects, all of whom are teachers. Our sales professionals are experts in building long-term relationships with teachers. Qualifications
We seek employees who are motivated, persistent and will be committed to delivering the highest level of service to our customers. In addition you should possess:
- Excellent prospecting skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and organizational skills
- A three or four-year university or college degree.
- A strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills
- Ability and motivation to make 40+ contacts daily (expect 3-4 hrs per day on the phone with teachers and parents).
- Knowledge of culture and geography of Western Europe and/or Asia.
- A passion for foreign travel
- Bilingual in French (prefered, but not required)

Chartered Accountant
The Accountant will be working in an International Finance department, working with daily financial processes and month end reporting. This position is located in London, and reports to the Controller in Boston.
Responsibilities - Responsible for monthly close duties as assigned, ranging from posting journal entries to preparing reconciliations
- Perform account analysis to assist in management review of monthly financial statements
- Assist with statutory and external audits of company information or other projects by retrieving supporting documentation from the accounting records
- Perform Fixed Asset review and maintain Fixed Asset Log
- Preparation and entry of month end journal entries including Depreciation, Benefit accruals
- Responsible for Payroll and Benefits of employees using outside payroll resource
- Perform Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Responsible for all statutory filings requirements
- Perform Accounts Payable duties
- Familiarity with intercompany, foreign currency translation, and transfer pricing is a plus
Requirements - BS in Accounting
- 3 years solid General Ledger Experience
- Self motivated combined with strong ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Must have generally accepted accounting principle and statutory accounting knowledge
- Excellent skills in problem resolution and investigative in nature
- Computer Knowledge: Accounting systems (Great Plains preferred), Reporting tools ( FrX or Crystal Reports preferred), Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines

- You will check groups in and out of hotels, and you are the liaison between tour groups and travel suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, and bus companies.
- You are a trusted source of knowledge and you will be expected to share that knowledge with your tour groups.
The perfect candidate should be fluent in English and at least one other language from our destination countries. You should have at least one year of experience leading tours in Europe and the ability to use digital cameras, computers, and email.
