Québec: Carnival

January 26, 2017  -  January 29, 2017

Bonjour!! My name is Leah and I am going to be your guide on your trip to Québec city!! Woohoo! I am very excited to meet everyone and to have fun in the snow with you guys! Throughout our fun adventures in Québec city I will be posting about the fun things that we are doing and will be uploading photos of us doing these fun things. This way our family and friends back home can read about and see what we are up to and be jealous of the fun that we are having. Remember to pack your warm winter clothes because it will be cold and we will be outside a lot of the time. I look forward to meeting you Thursday! Leah Day 1 What a great first day! And a long first day! With early flights this morning everyone was up and ready to go first thing in the morning. Our trip began at the airport in Montréal where we, luckily, had flights that arrived on time and early! We then made our way onto the bus for the 3 hour drive to Québec city. We passed the time on the bus by listening to music and playing games! I got to know that this group has is incredibly talented! When we finally arrived in Québec city the restaurant needed a few more minutes before they could seat us but this turned out be a great thing because it gave the students the opportunity to play in the snow. It seemed like the amount of snow on the ground was pretty remarkable to everyone. We had the best of both worlds because even though there is plenty of snow here it is very mild in terms of temperature here! We had a great dinner where many of the group got to try poutine, a traditional Canadian dish. After dinner we tobogganed right behind the famous Château Frontenac! It was so much fun and we had an amazing view over the Saint Lawrence river. Afterwards, we took a quick walk around Old Québec to see the old buildings and to take pictures in front of the wall that surround the Upper Town of Old Québec. We are now back at our lovely hotel and everyone is excited for another great day tomorrow!
