He was responsible for 39 plays and 154 sonnets, among a variety of other written works. London\u2019s Globe Theatre, first built in 1599 and then rebuilt in 1614 after it burned down from a fire, is where many of Shakespeare\u2019s plays were debuted \u2014 and performances still take place daily!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the lands that brought you tea and crumpets, Arthurian legends, and all things Gaelic, take a journey through Britain and Ireland\u2019s rich histories on our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.explorica.com\/educational-tours\/ireland-scotland-england.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ireland, Scotland &amp; England tour<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
