Perry, senior attorney<\/p><\/div>\n

Perry is a lawyer by trade, but history\u00a0and travel are his true passions. \u201cIf I\u00a0could make a living as a historian, I\u00a0would do it,\u201d he jests. Perry has walked\u00a0in the footsteps of famous historic\u00a0figures all across Europe, and has\u00a0designed more than a dozen history-specific\u00a0tours.<\/p>\n

But Perry wasn\u2019t always so worldly. \u201cI was 41 before\u00a0I visited Europe,\u201d he shares, \u201cand only then because\u00a0a friend talked me into joining his trip.\u201d The friend\u00a0was a professor at a nearby college who needed more\u00a0participants for a tour. When he specifically changed\u00a0the trip\u2019s itinerary to include a visit to Omaha Beach\u00a0(where Perry\u2019s father had fought), Perry had no choice\u00a0but to enroll. \u201cThat was it,\u201d he says, \u201cI caught the\u00a0travel bug.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry joined the college for several more trips, which\u00a0he custom-designed based on
\nhis studies and books\u00a0like \u201cCitizen Soldier\u201d and \u201cBand of Brothers.\u201d \u201cThe\u00a0trips were so popular the college president asked me to\u00a0keep doing them,\u201d Perry recounts. He eventually took\u00a0over the school\u2019s travel and study abroad programs,\u00a0logging trips with every major travel company.<\/p>\n
