Nathan shares a deep connection with the world around him and is motivated by his faith to experience as much of it as possible.\u00a0 From acting in an NBC movie as a rapper and performing a stand-up comedy show with SNL alum Chris Rock, to an on-a-whim solo adventure up the Himalayas during a service trip<\/a> to Tibet,\u00a0Nathan has had his fair share of amazing stories, both at home and abroad.\u00a0 Now he’d like to share them with you!<\/p>\n

Favorite part of travel:<\/strong> Discovering new places, taking pictures of those places, and sharing my memories with my classroom, my family, and my community for years to come.\u00a0 I aspire to live adventures like the ones J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, and J.K. Rowling wrote about (minus Lord Voldemort killing my parents\u2026).<\/p>\n

Best Explorica experience:<\/strong> <\/em>Strangely, the ferry ride from Italy to Greece<\/a>.\u00a0 It was an overnight ferry, and we boarded at like 2 am in the morning.\u00a0 We were all tired and cranky because we had been traveling hard for about ten days at that time, and we knew we had to spend a whole day on a ferry.\u00a0 That day, we slept in.\u00a0 We saw the beauty of the Greek landscape.\u00a0 I understood the Odyssey<\/em> and how it came to be just from viewing all those beautiful, magical Greek hills.\u00a0 Our tour group all crowded in my room, we shared stories, we played a card game called Presidents for a loooooong time, and we became lifelong friends.<\/p>\n

Favorite Explorica tour (so far!):<\/strong> Germany Orientation for New Year\u2019s<\/a> with all my Explorica crew and fellow group leaders.\u00a0 Other than that, spending fourteen days exploring Italy and Greece<\/a>.\u00a0 I still can\u2019t wrap my mind around the fact that I was actually a part of all of these amazing experiences.<\/p>\n

Best travel tip:<\/strong> Prepare and over prepare. Pack light, your bags fill up quick. Smile! If you mess up, someone else has messed up before you and someone will mess up after you.\u00a0 Breathe.\u00a0 There will be an answer to your problem, question or snafu.\u00a0 Be patient.<\/p>\n
