Today marks the 68th<\/sup> anniversary of the United Nation\u2019s Food and Agriculture Organization\u2019s (FAO) founding.\u00a0 Built upon the belief that \u201cthe goal of freedom from want of food, suitable and adequate for the health and strength of all people can be achieved<\/em>,\u201d the group\u00a0inspires others to help join the fight to\u00a0end world hunger.\u00a0 Every year on this day, we celebrate its creation through World Food Day.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of each year, the FAO announces World Food Day\u2019s official theme.\u00a0 The focus of 2013 brings us \u201cSustainable Food Systems for Food Security and Nutrition<\/a>\u201d in hopes that we can help create a planet where nutritious, sustainable\u00a0staple foods\u00a0will be available to everyone.<\/p>\n
