    Old Havana visit 
    Meet with local architects and community members
    Callejón de Hamel neighborhood visit 
    Meet with local Cuban artists
    Details: Old Havana visit
    Immerse yourself in the culture of Old Havana. Meet with architects and local community members involved in the restoration of the Historic Quarter of Old Havana to discuss, among other topics, cultural preservation, conservation and restoration of historic locations in both the U.S. & Cuba.
    Details: Callejón de Hamel neighborhood visit
    Engage yourself in Afro-Cuban culture. Visit Havana's funkiest neighborhood and meet with local Cuban artists to discuss the role of artists and the arts in both the U.S. & Cuba.
  • Day 3 Agriculture & Music
    Music & art educational exchange 
    Meet with young musicians and educators
    Details: Organopónicos visit
    Urban gardening meets organic agriculture! Visit an organopónicos community - a local urban agriculture project that provides fresh vegetables to locals. Discuss, among other topics, sustainable urban agriculture in both the U.S. & Cuba.

    Meet with young musicians and educators focusing on music to discuss, among other topics, the role of music, art education and musicians, as well as different music styles and life more generally in the U.S. & Cuba.
  • Day 4 Art & Education
    Instituto Superior de Artes full-day visit 
    Meet with students, teachers & administrators
    Details: Instituto Superior de Artes full-day visit
    Spend the day at Cuba’s leading academy of the arts since its establishment in 1976. Meet with students, teachers, and administrators at the Instituto Superior de Artes to discuss, among other topics, arts education and the education systems in both the U.S. & Cuba.
  • Day 5 Viñales Valley
    Viñales Valley excursion 
    Finca Agro-Ecologica agricultural cooperative visit
    Santo Tomas Cavern visit 
    Meet with local speleologists
    Details: Viñales Valley excursion
    Travel to the Viñales Valley to meet with local farmers and visit the Finca Agro-Ecologica agricultural cooperative to discuss, among other topics, sustainable agriculture, land reform, and entrepreneurship in agriculture in both the U.S. & Cuba. Here you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty on the farm and work with Cuban farmers, spending time working together and learning about agricultural methods.

    Engage in educational exchanges with local speleologists in Santo Tomas Cavern to discuss geology, caving and ecological issues in both the U.S. & Cuba.
  • Day 6 Culture & Community
    Martin Luther King Center visit 
    Meet with local students and cultural leaders
    Details: Martin Luther King Center visit
    Meet with students and cultural leaders affiliated with the Martin Luther King Center to discuss, among other topics, community development and education in both the U.S. & Cuba.
    Details: Transformación Integral Pogolotti visit
    Spend the afternoon with local youth involved in social and community projects to discuss community activism in both the U.S. & Cuba.
  • Day 7 Las Terrazas
    Details: Las Terrazas full-day excursion
    Travel to the mountainous Las Terrazas region to visit the Sierra del Rosario Bioreserve. Upon arrival, you will engage with community and student volunteers working at the bioreserve and discuss, among other topics, the role of local and organic gardening, ecological sustainability, and food distribution in both the U.S. & Cuba.
    Details: Rural neighborhood health clinic visit
    Meet with local residents and a local family doctor at a Las Terrazas rural neighborhood health clinic concerning, among other topics, public health, health education, family doctors, general medicine practice, nutrition and infant health in both the U.S. & Cuba.
