Do you know the European Continent inside and out? Do you have a wealth of knowledge and the confidence to share it with others? We're looking for people who have at least one year of European travel industry experience. You must be living in or based in Europe for the tour season to be considered. You must enjoy helping young North America travelers to discover everything that Europe has to offer.
- You will accompany and lead tours of varying sizes throughout the year. You will be responsible for the well-being of these groups.
- You will be expected to research specific destinations and provide commentary on the destination countries, as well as to suggest activities for periods of free time.
- You will check groups in and out of hotels, and you are the liaison between tour groups and travel suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, and bus companies.
- You are a trusted source of knowledge and you will be expected to share that knowledge with your tour groups.
The perfect candidate should be fluent in English and at least one other language from our destination countries. You should have at least one year of experience leading tours in Europe and the ability to use digital cameras, computers, and email. CANADA
Do you enjoy working with kids and traveling? Are you outgoing, organized and fun? We are looking for energetic Tour Directors to lead tours to Canadian Destinations (Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Niagara Falls, Toronto) for classes of students aged 11-14. This is a challenging yet rewarding position. Inspire the future of Canada - be part of the legacy!
You will be responsible for the following aspects of the tours:
- You will be traveling between Toronto and the Tour Destination on a weekly basis during the months of May and June (we also have tours in the fall, winter and early spring).
- You will work closely with the Group Leader to ensure that the students get the most out of their educational travel experience.
- You will facilitate all aspects of the tour by being the liaison between tour groups and travel suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, and bus companies.
- You will be responsible for conveying information to the students in interactive and exciting ways using the methods and materials provided for you in training.
Explorica provides extensive training (classroom training on weekends in March and April, on-the-road training to follow) which will provide you with the skills and knowledge to lead successful tours. No Tour Directing experience required. All meals, transportation and accommodations are paid for by Explorica while away from your hometown.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, organized, creative, confident and easygoing with a love of teaching and travel. Applicants should be fluent in English and/or French and be living in Canada(Southern Ontario or Quebec City areas). As using technology is an integral part of being an Explorica Tour Director, applicants must be able to use digital cameras, computers, the Internet and email.

UNITED STATES
Do you know some of the major cities of the United States (Boston, Washington, New York, etc.)? Do you have the desire and confidence to share your knowledge with others? We are looking for outgoing people who have at least one year of experience in the travel industry. You must love to help young North American travelers to discover everything that USA has to offer. Living in the United States is required to be considered.
You will be responsible for the following aspect of the tours:
- You will accompany and lead tours of varying sizes throughout the year. You will be responsible of their well-being and enjoyment.
- You will be expected to research specific destinations and provide commentary about them, as well as to suggest activities for periods of free time.
- You will check groups in and out of hotels, and will be the liaison between tour groups and travel suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, and bus companies.
