Program Consultant

Explorica is seeking a sales professional with strong prospecting skills and direct sales experience for our Toronto office. Our sales conducted over the phone to existing clients and strong prospects, all of whom are teachers. Our sales professionals are experts in building long-term relationships with teachers.

Qualifications

We seek employees who are motivated, persistent and will be committed to delivering the highest level of service to our customers. In addition you should possess:

  • Excellent prospecting skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and organizational skills
  • A three or four-year university or college degree.
  • A strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability and motivation to make 40+ contacts daily (expect 3-4 hrs per day on the phone with teachers and parents).
  • Knowledge of culture and geography of Western Europe and/or Asia.
  • A passion for foreign travel
  • Bilingual in French (prefered, but not required)

 

Junior Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the V-P Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for executing all marketing strategies for Canada International and Canada Domestic/North America. Ideal candidate is a current Senior Marketing Coordinator from a small to medium size organization.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Manages and coordinates all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
• Conducts market research which includes the coordination of focus groups.
• Conducts regular research on customers and the competition (including pricing).
• Works with online marketing manager to ensure Explorica Canada website is updated.
• Develops and maintains the marketing and sales budgets.
• Monitors and tracks all spending related to marketing including coding all incoming invoices.
• Coordinates with the U.S. Director of Marketing on major annual brochures for both Canada international and Canada domestic/NA; proof reads all materials and translates copy for accurate Canadian spelling.
• Selects and manages external agencies including printers, mail houses, designers and other vendors required for successful execution of marketing campaigns.
• Works with internal database and pulls required lists for all direct mail and online initiatives.
• Writes copy for sales reminder postcards and marketing direct mail pieces ensuring alignment with U.S. and worldwide objectives/branding/USP.
• Manages storage inventory to ensure accurate follow through in processing of GL welcome packets and pre-departure packets;
• Responsible for the production of promotional items, signage, and advertisements.


Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

• A bachelor degree in business management, marketing or sales preferred.
• 2 to 3 years progressive marketing experience.
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Interest in web based marketing.
• Proficient with internet research and general gathering of information.
• Experience in all aspects of coordinating and executing marketing programs.
• A solid understanding of social media and online marketing programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, Powerpoint and the ability to learn new software products a must.
