Day 2: June 19, 2007

It was a tired and weary group-minus a few travellers-that arrived at Glasgow airport this afternoon, but we soon perked up when we saw the smiling faces of our Tour Director Suzy and our Scottish bus driver Harry! We were soon on the road to the Highlands, stopping to check out majestic Loch Lomond on the way. We paused briefly at Glencoe, the "vale of weeping", overshadowed by dark imposing mountains, to hear the tale of the terrible Glencoe Massacre of 1692. we were glad to finally arrive at our hotel in the cute little town of Grantown-on-Spey, and to try our first British speciality at dinner- roast beef and Yorkshire pudding!
