Day 2: March 9, 2007

After arriving at the world busiest airport, London's heathrow airport where we met Chris, our TourDirector we jumped on a coach, we headed through London, past many of London's sights to arrive at our hotel in the green and quiet Primrose Hill area, close to the Regents Park. Storing our luggage at the hotel, we began our morning by wandering down to the vibrant and bohemian Camden Town market area with a great selection of stalls selling all sorts of interesting things. After some lunch and a chance to do some shopping we jumped on Londons underground metro system and began the walking tour to orientate and introduce ourselves to this great cosmopolitan city. We got off the tube at underground in the peaceful Bloomsbury area, home to London University and its various schools and colleges and headed for a quick photostop in front of the the Greek-Temple styled British Museum - home to the worlds 2nd greatest collection of Egyptian antiquities before continueing through into Soho - the entertainment district and Leicester Square the centre of London's Theatre Land. At Trafalgar Square where the victor, of this famous and important sea battle for the Brisitsh Empire Lord Nelson stands - we had a breather and the chance to view the beautiful and monumental architecture that London has to offer. Such a perfect spring sunny day (although we got caught by a few brief showers). Strolling down to the river Thames past Charing Cross Station for one of the greatest river view before heading east on the tube again for a much needed fuelling of tradional fish and chips at Tower Hill. Before going back to our hotel for some much needed sleep, we crossed the Thames for a magical birds-eye view of the city at night from the London-Eye, Europes Largest wheel.
