Here we come Spain!!! Arrived in Madrid smoothly, as smoothly were taken to our hotel. Being so early rooms were not ready yet but had some free time before heading to Madrid downtown. Once there, Antonio, our Tour Director took us on a subway ride to the city centre where we started our walking tour covering the shopping area of Preciados and Puerta del Sol with its crowds. Had some time for lunch and continued to El Prado Museum. One of the most interesting and richest art galleries on Earth, the collection is fascinating, having just time to cover the Spanish School with painters such as Velazquez, Murillo, Goya....
By the time we finished at El Prado, every one was feeling really tired, so we went for an early dinner in Fresco, really good selection of fresh salads, soups, pizzas, etc.. Really delicious.
Back on the metro, we were quiet desperate for a shower and bed. We are all looking foward to tomorrow´s visit of Madrid.
