Day 2: June 17, 2009

Today everyone had an early start. Mr Yafai’s group woke up early to go downtown to start "Mike’s Fat Tire" tour. Meanwhile Mrs Cofield and Mrs Blaz’s group were flying into Paris. Mrs Cofields group arrived first, checked into the hotel and then headed towards downtown Paris to visit Les Invalides and the area near by. The final arrival was Mrs Blaz’s Group. They arrived to the hotel checked in rapidly and off all we were to downtown Paris to meet up with with the Mrs Cofield’s and Mr. Yafai’s group in front of the St Michel fountain. Both of the groups had enjoyed their free time either by biking through Paris or by visiting museums. Now that the entire group was together we all walked though the Latin quarters and visited the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral and said hi ti Quasimodo. Then we walked from Notre Dame to Chatelet crossing the Seine River. From there we took the metro to the Louvre Museum. Although everyone was very tired from the long day everyone enjoyed this impressive Museum and spent 2 hours discovering it. Then came dinner time so we took the metro back to the famous Latin quarters to have dinner at Bistrot 30 LQ. Although pretty much exhausted everyone decided to end the day by paying a visit to Paris' landmark: La Tour Eiffel! What a wonderful way to end the day! Bonne nuit tout le monde et a demain!
