Day 2: April 10, 2009

Hello Europe!!!! Our dreams finally come true when we (well, some of us...) make it to London at 6:30...A.M.! After a quick (London has no traffic...or was it just Good Friday?) transfer to the hotel we board the DLR (overground train part of the London metro network) and transfer into central London. We start off in Soho and walk down to Gerrard Street (Chinatown!) before taking a break in Leicester Square. With our bellies filled, we decide to go and admire the National Gallery, right in the middle of Trafalgar Square. The weather is a bit greyish, but we challenge it and walk to Covent Garden first...and the British museum right afterwards! In the meanwhile the other groups have made it to London too and are met by Celine, the transfer TD. They transfersfer directly into town where our TD takes them for a quick peek at Buckingham Palace before we eventually meet each other in front of Green Park station. From there, we "quietly" went on to a D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S dinner at the Hard Rock cafe. That Rocks our world, but the jet lag is finally catching up with everybody, so we decide to go back to the hotel for a well deserved combination of SHOWERS-PILLOWS-REST. Goodnight...
